Wyse R Class Thin Client with Advanced Client Virtualization Software Redefines the Future of Client Virtualization with Citrix XenDesktop and New Citrix Receiver

Wyse Technology, the global leader in thin computing and client virtualization, today announced that Mark Templeton, CEO of Citrix Systems, chose the high-performance Wyse R class thin client to demonstrate Citrix's new Citrix Receiver Technology.  The demonstration took place during Mr. Templeton's keynote at the Citrix Synergy conference on May 5.

At the keynote in front of thousands of Citrix customers and partners, Templeton used Wyse to demonstrate how Citrix Delivery Center delivers a high-definition user experience, showing voice, data, and video applications running in a virtualized Windows 7 environment, hosted thousands of miles away in Florida by Citrix XenDesktop.   Network performance was boosted by the Citrix Branch Repeater.

The experience, demonstrated on the Wyse R class thin client, was flawless.  The combination of Citrix technology, and the reliability and extreme performance of the Wyse R class provided a stunning, real-life Windows 7 PC experience – without using any PCs.

Templeton praised the Wyse R class' fast CPU, graphics processing capability and energy efficiency.
