With over 500 franchised offices across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, Harvey World Travel is one of the longest established retail travel agencies in Australia. The first Harvey World Travel agency was opened in May 1951 and since then operations have grown to AU$1.8 billion annual turnover.

Technology is the backbone of the travel industry and Harvey World Travel’s operation is built upon software from Galileo, an application developed specifically for their industry. In late 2003 Harvey World Travel became a beta customer for Galileo’s new 32-bit travel software. It used this opportunity to move to a thin client environment and introduce a brand new IT system for its franchisees.
